Estate Winery Freedom Hill Chardonnay 2005

This new release is the sophomore bottling of the Freedom Hill Chardonnay sourced from a new “Dijon Clone 76” block planted in 2000. This wine was carefully selected from the finest French oak barrel lots and continues to exemplify a commitment to making world-class, cool-climate Chardonnay. This style has elements that reflect the region; bright fruit characteristics of pears, melons, and citrus with lean and entertaining acids. The Chardonnays undergo minimal malo-lactic conversion by design which helps to create a round and rich mouth-feel without sacrificing acidity and balance.
